CAMPING QUESTIONS

Are there campgrounds on the site?
Yes. There is camping on the site (first come - first served basis). There are also campgrounds nearby with shuttle service provided. Check the Campgrounds/R.V. Parks page for listings.

When you say, "first come - first served", how does that guarantee a spot? How many spots are there? If we arrive Friday morning, will we get a spot?
In this case, it means that parking/camping spaces are limited. Gates are scheduled to open at 8:00am for the General Parking/Camping on French's Camp which is available to cars and also to walk-ins. We do not anticipate running out of the spaces at the French's Camp site, so take your time on Friday morning and you'll still have a space to park. Please Carpool!

Is the campsite on the festival grounds protected by security?
Security is on the festival grounds, but it is for the purpose of the festival, not for personal reasons. Each camper is responsible for his/her own property.

Is it permissable to camp in one's car?
Yes. You can sleep in your car, but it will be parked in with all the other cars as in a parking lot. You cannot pitch a tent, nor set up your sleeping or eating spot outside your car.

What is supplied for the campers on the Reggae Rising site?
Portable toilets
Free portable showers
Handwashing facilities
Drinking water

Are there motels and hotels nearby?
Yes, and they fill up months before the festival. There are motel/hotel accomodations nearby, so contact Chamber of Commerce for information (1-800-923-2613) or visit our Hotel/Motel page for listings.

Are RV's allowed? Is there a limit to the size or vehicle?
Yes. RV's are allowed, but discouraged. RV Parking is allowed on a first come - first served basis.

Is there electricity or water hookups for RV's?
No.
