| ALTER-ABLE / DISABLED | [ TOP ] | PLEASE MAKE PRIOR ARRANGEMENTS WELL IN ADVANCE OF THE CONCERT For Alter-able information, please check our Alter-able camping section.
Is there an accessible area for persons with disabilities? Yes. There is a section for persons with disabilities.
Do we need passes for that? At the time of purchasing tickets, make a notation of the need for alter abled accomodations.
For those in wheelchairs staying in town, are there parking areas available? Yes. At the time of purchasing tickets, make a notation of the need for alter abled parking.
| | CAMERAS, AUDIO & VIDEO RECORDERS | [ TOP ] | Can we bring in cameras? Yes, some cameras are allowed. 35mm, instant, etc. camera's are OK. High-Resolution Digital/Video cameras are not allowed and will be confiscated at the gate.
Can we bring in video cameras? No, video cameras are not allowed and will be confiscated at the gate.
Can we bring in audio recording devices? No, audio recording devices are not allowed and will be confiscated at the gate.
| | CAMPING QUESTIONS | [ TOP ] | Are there campgrounds on the site? Yes. There is camping on the site (first come - first served basis). There are also campgrounds nearby with shuttle service provided. Check the Campgrounds/R.V. Parks page for listings.
When you say, "first come - first served", how does that guarantee a spot? How many spots are there? If we arrive Friday morning, will we get a spot? In this case, it means that parking/camping spaces are limited. Gates are scheduled to open at 8:00am for the General Parking/Camping on French's Camp which is available to cars and also to walk-ins. We do not anticipate running out of the spaces at the French's Camp site, so take your time on Friday morning and you'll still have a space to park. Please Carpool!
Is the campsite on the festival grounds protected by security? Security is on the festival grounds, but it is for the purpose of the festival, not for personal reasons. Each camper is responsible for his/her own property.
Is it permissable to camp in one's car? Yes. You can sleep in your car, but it will be parked in with all the other cars as in a parking lot. You cannot pitch a tent, nor set up your sleeping or eating spot outside your car.
What is supplied for the campers on the Reggae Rising site? Portable toilets Free portable showers Handwashing facilities Drinking water
Are there motels and hotels nearby? Yes, and they fill up months before the festival. There are motel/hotel accomodations nearby, so contact Chamber of Commerce for information (1-800-923-2613) or visit our Hotel/Motel page for listings.
Are RV's allowed? Is there a limit to the size or vehicle? Yes. RV's are allowed, but discouraged. RV Parking is allowed on a first come - first served basis.
Is there electricity or water hookups for RV's? No.
| | CHILDREN/BABIES | [ TOP ] | Are children allowed? Yes.
What is the ticket price for children? Children 12 years of age and younger are free with a ticket holding adult.
Are there designated children sections on the site? Yes. There is a designated area for children with games, arts and crafts, special presentations and shade. Children cannot be left in this area unattended.
Is there shading for babies? There are several shaded areas available on the site, however alot of the site is in the sun and the temperatures can be hot. Please bring shade for your babies.
| | MISCELLANEOUS | [ TOP ] | Are pets allowed on the site? No, pets are not allowed on the Reggae Rising Festival site.
Does the festival stay open all night? The concert bowl does not. The concert bowl opens at 12:30 pm on Friday and 9am on Saturday and Sunday. The concert bowl is cleared and the gates are closed just after the last performance each night.
When do the gates open and close? Gates open: 8:00 a.m. - Friday 8:00 a.m. - Saturday 8:00 a.m. - Sunday There is no in and out allowed to vehicles, once you're parked at the festival, you're in for the weekend.
Is it 3 whole days? Yes. From Friday a.m. to Sunday p.m.
Is the festival inside or outside? Outside.

Is Internet access available on the site? No.
Are there arts & crafts sold at the festival? Yes. There's a large selection of arts, crafts and other items from all over the world sold at the festival including clothes, art, drums and jewelry.
Can we bring merchandise to sell? Items can only be sold through the Vendor Booths. There is absolutely "no unauthorized vending" allowed on the festival site.
Are generators allowed? No. Please leave the generators at home.
Are bicycles allowed? Bicycles are allowed, but you must leave them out of the concert bowl.
| | PARKING | [ TOP ] | Is there parking area available? Parking is available in the General Parking/Camping area of the French's Camp site. In and Outs are not permitted on the festival grounds. Once your car is parked, it must stay for the three days. If you are camped at another campground or staying with friends or in a local motel, you must ride the shuttle to the festival.
Can we order parking passes in advance? No, the ticket holder should plan the trip to arrive at the site no earlier than 8:00am. If you arrive earlier, you will be put into a holding pattern.
| | PERFORMERS | [ TOP ] | Can we meet the performers? As a general rule, the performers go immediately to the Press Tent, then leave the site area.
How can we get backstage passes? Backstage passes are given to guests of the performers and media.
How can we get passes to be in the photo section? Photo Passes and Press Passes are given to qualified media.
How can we get autographs or photos of the performers? Snapshots are allowed when performer is onstage.
| | THE RIVER | [ TOP ] | Is the river deep? It is shallow in most areas. It is narrow in most areas.
Can we swim in the river? Yes, absolutely.
Are boats allowed in the river? No, but floats, innertubes, and small rafts are allowed.
Can we wear bathing suits? Yes if you want.
What is the name of the river running through the Reggae Rising site? The Eel River

What happens if we made the check out to the People Productions instead on Reggae Rising? All checks may be made payable to Reggae Rising. However, if you've sent one in which was made payable to People Productions don't worry, it'll work.
Do our ticket requests need to be sent by certified mail? No, only if you want to send them that way.
Can we purchase tickets online with credit cards? Yes. Click here to visit our Ticket page for online ordering.
Can tickets be purchased for specific days instead of all three days? As in purchasing a tickets for two nights or one night? No. The ticket price is set for the whole festival. Whether you attend all three days or 3 hours.

| | WEATHER | [ TOP ] | What kind of weather is normal for the festival? The normal weather is very hot during the day, but can become very cool at night. Make sure to bring plenty of water or containers that can be refilled with water. Beach attire is common during the day (sandals, a sun hat, sunglasses and plenty of sunscreen). It's unusual, but it has rained at this time of year in the past. |
