Bobby T has been performing professionally since the 1990's, when he toured the US with various reggae, blues, and rock bands, as vocalist and lead guitarist. In 2005 he formed his own group; The Magical Voyagers who play an earthy mix of roots-reggae, rock, and soul. The band includes Mike Echols (bass), Jeff Franca (drums), and special guest Donnie Sundal (vocals, keyboards). Bobby T is praised by some of the world's top musicians like Junior, Mike Fleetwood, Joey Williams (Robert Randolph's Family Band), and has toured and supported Corey Harris (Rasta-Blues international touring artist), See-I (Thievery Corporation), Junior Marvin & Wailin' Love, and worked with members of Culture. He is also a guest artist on Soldiers of Jah Army's latest upcoming release, “Born in Babylon.” Currently Bobby T is recording his debut full-length release, due out in late 2009. The CD will showcase his socially-conscious lyrics, bluesy voice, and has him wailing on the guitar like his hero Jimi Hendrix. The music is uplifting, conscious, and soulful. As Bobby T reflects, "We care about the conditions that people live in today, some live well, some live in disarray. If we can bring peace to the people we are in contact with, that matters to us." |
