ALTER-ABLE ACCOMODATIONS

Requirements For Attending The Festival

All concert attendees must purchase tickets in advance of the concert. All camping and parking at Reggae Rising is on a first come first served basis. In order to best accommodate those with special needs, we have devised a pre-registration program.

Those who have pre-registered are guaranteed a space so long as they arrive on either Thursday, July 30th AFTER 12:00 noon or Friday, July 31st, AFTER 12:00 noon. Pre-registered onsite camping and parking fees must be paid for in advance. On-site camping fees are $60.00 for cars and vans for the weekend. RV spaces are very limited and are $300.00 and up, depending on the size. There are NO hook-ups available. You will receive a vehicle parking sticker with further instruction in advance of the event. There is a limit to the length of RV's, no larger than 30 feet please. Anything over this length needs pre-approval. No class C RV's allowed.

We may sell-out of Alter-able camping and parking spots, so we strongly advise you to pre-register as soon as possible. Also, if Alter-able camping and parking sells out with pre-registered guests, you will probably not be able to park or camp in the Alter-able area unless you pre-register. Day use spaces in the Alter-able area are also available on a limited basis and you must also pre-register for these spots which are specifically reserved for those of you who have secured offsite accommodations. Day Use spaces are also $60.00 for the weekend. Pre-Registered day parking vehicles will only be allowed to enter the festival grounds starting on Friday July 31st AFTER 12:00 or Saturday, August 1st and Sunday, August 2nd after 8:00am. You must have your Alter-able placard prominently displayed on your vehicle. Upon arrival at the festival site, exit the freeway to Reggae Rising and proceed to the Alter-able Booth, where you will be assisted by the Alter-able staff and they will exchange your ticket for a wristband.

The Alter-able Booth will be open at noon on Thursday and Friday and closes promptly at 10:00pm. If you do not wish to pre-register, you can enter with the general public on Friday morning, but we will not be able to place you in the Alter-able area or provide staff assistance. Anyone who exits during the weekend with their vehicle, except those in the Day Use spaces forfeits their parking space.

Due to the limited amount of space, only one caregiver will be allowed to camp with you in the campground. The only exception to this would be if you have children twelve and under. Only your caregiver and children will be allowed to enter the site in your vehicle.

Things You Should Know About The Festival Site

Reggae Rising takes place during the hottest part of the year, in a very open and exposed area. Temperatures vary, but it has been known to reach 103+ degrees on our hot years, and in 1999 we experienced an unusual thunder downpour on Friday during the night. If you are sensitive to heat, we do not recommend that you attend Reggae Rising. Our festival site is a very basic, rugged outdoor area with uneven ground which can make navigation difficult, depending on your physical limitations. You must be independent and self-sufficient or have the assistance of a caregiver to attend Reggae Rising.

We do provide a defined area for Alter-able camping. We do not provide shaded camping for our campers, shade is an individual responsibility. We do not supply any structures for your camping, you will need to bring your own tent and set it up on the ground in this campground. If you cannot set up a tent by yourself, you will need to have your caretaker set the tent up for you.

Drinking water and overhead electric lights are provided in this campground; however our site is not equipped to supply individual power hook-ups for RV's or electric outlets for campers' personal use. You will need to bring your own battery-operated lights, and don't forget the flashlights!

We do provide a unisex, disable bathroom and picnic tables in this campground, and we provide a separate viewing area which has a shade canopy and also a unisex, disable bathroom. You will need to bring your own seating, if needed.

We look forward to seeing you at Reggae Rising this year and thank you in advance for helping us by paying attention to our new policies. With your cooperation we will present one of the best reggae music festivals in the world.

Registration closes July 15, 2009.
